Intergenerational Play at Briary Preschool

Since 2023, Briary Preschool has been partnering with Barchester, Herne Place Care Home in Herne Bay for regular intergenerational play sessions.

​

Every two weeks, our children visit the care home to enjoy play, movement, arts and crafts, singing, and social time with residents. These sessions benefit both children and older adults, fostering connection and community.

​

We’ve worked closely with the care home team, completed thorough risk assessments, and established safety procedures to ensure everyone’s well-being.
